Armando Renteria

Born on January 18, 1980, in the beautiful region of Los Angeles California, I Armando Renteria was months into this world when my mom decided to return to Mexico. Leaving behind my dad as the relationship soured.

My childhood was imbued with artistic influences from the century old town of Tijuana. At the tender age of five I would take two buses to get to school. There I studied people, buildings, cars, and the occasional rain. With the attention to detail and constant observation I transitioned into drawing and painting fairly easily.

At the age of seven, I was back in California. Los Angeles California was where I began to draw everyday. My best friend David E. encouraged me and would push me to draw. We played video games and drew all the time.
